310 Blood Sugar

i m 58 years old weight 75 kg height 5'8'', from last few days i am not feeling good, my body itching,
So i checked with doctor, when measure sugar he found 310, immediately he suggest me to give blood sample for further diagnosis.
Any body want to suggest any thing better regarding my problem i will be happy to hear suggestions.
