About Us

Diabetes Well Being was created to provide a wealth of knowledge about diabetes, particularly information that is not necessarily discussed in clinical settings. Recently, we have been fortunate to be a contributing author in a fabulous special diabetes insert in USA Today called United For Diabetes. You can read our contribution (and others!) by clicking the link below.

United For Diabetes

The site content is driven by what people with diabetes want to learn. How do I know what you want to learn about? Simple.

Each article is crafted around specific searches that people with diabetes and their loved ones are looking for on the Internet. I am not telling you what you should be looking to learn. Instead, you are telling me!

I strive to provide accurate and appropriate citations to all sources used to compile the articles. My goal is to write the content in a straight forward, easy to read format for complex diabetes subjects. Thus, I look to simplify and remove much of the "medical speak" that often talks over the head of the reader.

Hopefully, you will find that Diabetes Well Being has some of the most indepth and innovative content on the internet.

About The Editor

erich schultz

My family has a lengthy history of diabetes, including both Type 1 and Type 2. This site was the natural progression of me wanting to learn more about diabetes.

I have been researching nutrition for nearly a decade and much of this site is dedicated to discussing the different eating options for people with diabetes. As part of this research, I earned a certificate in Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition from Cornell University and the T. Colin Campbell Foundation.

I am constantly seeking to improve the site and add new, dynamic and worthwhile content. If you have any comments or suggestions about how I can improve our offerings, please let me know.

Take a look around. I hope you enjoy the site!
