My highest reading was 686, (this # came from the emergency room equipment). I was on vacation and was experiencing all the symptoms; Thirst, bad vision(Ketones), etc.. etc..Went to the doctor and ended up in the hospital. I was 41 when diagnosed with Type 1 and I now use an insulin pump.
