Diabetic Baked Custard Recipe

Most people think of custard and their arteries start to clog. Not so with our custard recipe. It only has 2 grams of fat per serving and is lower in carbs than most options. Try our version of a diabetic friendly recipe.

Diabetic Baked Custard Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Skim Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 3/4 cups Non-Fat Egg Substitute

Directions

Step 1. Pre heat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2. Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir well.
Step 3. Pour mix into 4 equal oven ready custard dishes.
Step 4. Put the four custard dishes in a brownie baking pan. Fill the brownie pan with hot water up to the same level as the custard mix.
Step 5. Bake for approximately 45-60 minutes. You need to keep an eye on this during baking. You want the center of the custard to be firm. This is when you know it will be done.
