Go with the reliable Medtronic MiniMed

I hate that I purchased this pump. I had the MiniMed 507 and used it for over ten years before getting this One Touch Ping. This Ping will most likely have to be replaced in four years or less. One thing that I do not like with this pump is that you have to buy expensive battery caps and cartridge caps every six months and insurance will not cover these items. I do like that you can use just about any infusion set unlike the Medtronic. This was the deciding factor when I was shopping for a new pump. However, I can't feel the quality in this pump that I always did with my Minimed 507. Another issue is the screen and menu gets sluggish. If I could I would return this and get the Medtronic. Animas customer service/ follow-up is non-existant.
