Toddler on Omnipod

My daughter was 16 months old when we first started her on the insulin pump and we had the worst time getting it to stick and stay put! We finally got feedback from Insulet who advised us to use Skintac and that does help-but we have lost quite a few pods and insulin and that does get expensive. The other downside is that the pod is quite big on a toddler and does require a good bit of space and the skin will break down over time because of not being able to put it anywhere else. When people ask me what I like about the omnipod-I say that I like not having to give her 6+ injections a day and it being wireless. Well-I'll take the wires any day over having to come out of pocket for extra insulin on a monthly basis....Finally-after a year of pumping with the Omnipod we are trading it in for the Animas Ping. Wish us luck!
