Ms. Insulin Pump

I started on the Insulet Omnipod in April. I had a few problems in the beginning, but support has been great. This is the only insulin pump I have ever used even though I have been on Insulin for 35 years.
I was switched in March from one shot a day to 4-5 or 6 and just couldn't imagine spending my life tied to an insulin pen. I did the research and decided that I wanted this type of pump. I have been told by the trainers that it can take up to a year to get up to speed with a pump, so I decided to give it a try. My pods stay in place for 3 days and my blood sugar is usually within goals or a little low. Once in a while I have a couple of highs but they are easily brought under control. I have had some trouble with the glue, but that is usually my fault. I use Nexcare Waterproof Tape to make sure that I don't knock the pod off of my arm with my pocketbook or some other thing. That has not happened for quite a while.
If I have a problem I call Insulet. They replace any pod that has not performed up to par. I have never had to wait long for my supplies. I once had to have my PDA replaced. It was delivered Federal Express Next Day even though I live in the Boston area.
I am so impressed with this company that I bought 50 shares of the stock last month. I believe that when the FDA approves the smaller size pods, it will take off.
