I can promise my ex girlfriend would have readings over 4 and 5 hundred. We had to get a different meter because of it. Her original one only went to 400. After 400 always meant a trip to the hospital because of I think its called ketoacidoces I'm sure I spelled that wrong. But once a month she had readings well over 400 and even 500. I've witnessed it many times its not good.
