Over 1000 Blood Sugar

So i was sick for about 3 days, thought i had the flu, until i could not even keep water down and started vomiting just bile, decided to go to ER. Admitted RIGHT AWAY, as many times as i was bleeding i was never admitted this quickly i knew this was not good. Hooked me up to 2 different EKG machines and an oxygen tank.... next good sign, then took me into a room that seemed to be for emergency operating..... 3rd good sign. They drew about ohhh 10 viles of blood. Dr comes in tells me that unfortunately i am a diabetic. Turns out i was completely dehydrated my heart rate was around 184 for an hour straight.
SO when i was admitted in my sugar was at 450 range, 30 minutes later i was over WELL over 1000 and spent the first of 3 nights in the CCU.
What is even better i found this out 2 months before my 21st birthday. NO ALCOHOL FOR ME :(

also my A1C was at 13.5 and within 3 months i knocked it down to 6.1
