RELIEF! Very Happy with OmniPod Insulin Pump
by Diane Springer
(Baytown, Texas USA)
Today is my first day to wear the pump. Assisted by an RN that is a new friend. She is available for me to call as I was a little nervous about using the PDM correctly. I have the booklets to read too & so far at the end of this day I am very happy!
A twist today, too that continued a good day! I had to also go to my local Hospital to pre-register and have labs for a Lumpectomy coming up next week. As it turns out, I bragged about the Omnipod to the RN as she asked me questions about what medicines I take. Turns out we share more than the name Diane... she has been a happy user of the Omnipod for 3 years! Her encouragement that I will be happy with this insulin pump and will soon be a pro at the PDM, and her hug shows me how small the world is sometimes, and how good things do happen to good people.
Oh, I did call the Insulet RN, my new friend Vanessa, and share my story with her!
Thanks Insulet for Omnipod...today I didn't have to pull out 5 needles at separate times of the day and inject my bruised body. Less stress for sure in treating my Type II Diabetes. Now to share the info with my Grand Daughter's best friend that is only 11 years old and her Famliy who deal with her conditions recently diagnosed with Type I Diabetes!
