Before I got pregnant with my son I was told that I was Diabetic with type 2. After being told I was to over weight and needed to drop the weight or risk my life, I was put on the 1600 Calorie diet. It worked great for me. I normally don't eat more then one or two meals a day but when I do they are calorie loaded and fatty.
With this diet you eat more meals, less calories, less fat, and healthier options. It took me a while to how much food you have to eat for this diet but after about a month it became easier. I dropped 60Lbs. in about 4 months and got pregnant... so I had to stop the diet. Now 2 years later and 80Lbs. heavier I have to do some thing to save my life. I have made the decision on my own to try this diet again. I was told that I have PCOS which can make you seem diabetic but not really be as well as mess with your hormones and weight.
I just had surgery for removal of Scar tissue and other health issues... I need change and I think that this will finally help me put my life on track... also a added bonus it will help me feed my family healthier. I hope that any one thinking about this diet will talk to there doctor and try it. It helped me and might help you. Be warned though if you are not used to eating 3-5 times a day it takes some adjusting. Good luck and God Bless
