This Diabetic Brisket Recipe was not altered at all from the original non-diabetic beef brisket recipe. I cannot emphasize how easy AND good this recipe is to make.
I (and soon to be you!) have Dave Baker to thank for sharing this creation. No, Dave is not a celebrity chef, but a long time friend of mine, who happens to be a great cook.
Dave made this at a recent party of his and it was a feeding frenzy. All the attendees loved it. Let’s get to the recipe.

Ingredients
- 2lb Beef Brisket
- 2 Medium Onion
- 12oz Chili Sauce, low sodium
- 1 teaspoon Celery Seed
- 1 tablespoon Mustard Seed
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
Directions
Step 1. | Dice the onions and place in the bottom of the crockpot. |
Step 2. | Trim any excess fat from the brisket. Place brisket in the slow cooker on top of the onions. |
Step 3. | In a mixing bowl, combine all of the remaining ingredients. Stir until mixed thoroughly. Pour over brisket. |
Step 4. | Set the slow cooker to low and cook for approximately 8 hours, or until tender. I usually have to change the setting of the cooker to high for the last 1-2 hours. |
Step 5. | Enjoy |
