Nipro Diagnostics glucose meters are primarily sold in the United States and Canada. The company is headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and has over 500 employees. Nipro Diagnostics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nipro Corporation, a medical device manufacturer headquartered in Japan.
Nipro Diagnostics came into existence in 2010, when it acquired Home Diagnostics. Essentially, all of the product line and the business model remained the same. Nipro manufacturers its blood glucose meters under its own name, as well as, co-branding with other companies. Meaning, it manufactures glucose meters for other companies that then put their brand on the product, examples include, CVS, Walgreens, and Rite-Aid. The company is focused on providing value at affordable prices.
Nipro Diagnostics glucose meters are the largest co-branding manufacturer in the country. In 2011, the company even won the Florida Manufacturer of the year award.
NIPRO DIAGNOSTICS GLUCOSE METERS
Nipro Diagnostics has a very extensive line of glucose meters with no less than six meters currently on the market. The meters vary in size, scope and features.
TRUE 2Go. The True 2go is designed for those on the move. It has a very unique feature, in that the meter attaches to the top of a vile of test strips. No fumbling around with individual test strips during each test.
TRUE result. The TRUE result is one of the most accurate Nipro meters, returning a 99% clinical accuracy rate. The meter requires no-coding.
TRUE track.The TRUE track glucose meter is yet another low cost simple meter from Nipro.
TRUE balance. The TRUE balance glucose meter is the newest offering. It is meant as a simple, no code meter with large easy to read display.
Sidekick. The Sidekick is a disposable meter that attaches to a vile of 50 test strips. The meter is prized for its highly portable design.
TRUEtrack. The TRUEtrack meter is a basic meter that is popular in the Medicare and Medicaid crowd.

Popular Nipro Diagnostics glucose meters that are still serviced but no longer available for purchase include the Prestige IQ and the TrackEase.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Nipro Diagnostics does have its own proprietary software to help diabetics track their results. The software is aptly named TRUE Manager. The program is free, but is only able to be used with the TRUE Track, TRUE Result, TRUE Balance, TRUE Read and Prestige IQ glucose meters. You will need to purchase a USB cable, however.
The TRUE Manager software is a huge improvement compared to the Home Diagnostics version. It comes in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. Unfortunately, it is not MAC compatible.
