Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup Onion (Chopped)
- 2 tablespoons Flour
- 1 cup Skim Milk
- 1/3 cup Swiss Cheese (Shredded, Reduced Fat)
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 16oz Green Beans
- 1 cup Stuffing Mix
- 1 teaspoon Margarine
Directions
Step 1. | Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. |
Step 2. | Cook onions in a medium saucepan with the olive oil for about 3-4 minutes over medium to high heat. |
Step 3. | Next add the flour and cook for an additional minute. Stir continuously. Blend in the milk, sugar, cream cheese and salt. Make sure you keep stirring. Cook until it begins to thicken. This should be about 5 minutes. |
Step 4. | Spread the green beans evenly in an oven friendly baking dish. Add the sauce. Add the stuffing to the baking dish. |
Step 5. | Bake the casserole for about 20 to 25 minutes. Casserole is done when it is thoroughly heated. |
